Building the Microcar

Main chassis frame member. 44'' long  6 2'' holes for the scooter frames to insert and braze into.
Heres the model on top of the 2'' x 3''x 8' frame material . The brass piece on the model is the 2x3 steel that its sitting on.
Donor Scooters for Project.A total of  5 scooters will be harmed in the making of this Microcar. It starts with the CH150 that I bought wrecked years ago.It was always going to be a  project .It was bent but ridable. Its will  be the drive for  my micro car .I bought a CH80 from some guy that lived on lower Lombard st in SF. this thing only had 3 things going for it. The frame was strait . the gas tank was fresh and usable. The title was good and non op-ed. That is it every thing else was bad . Really everything! I did use the mirrors and handlebars. If you can name a part of this scooter that I have not mentioned it was bad and replaced. This scooter is now running and looking good and I ride it everyday that I can. next came 3 more CH80s for parts and donor frames. So thats it - Im going to cut the fronts off of 2 of the CH80s and the back off the CH150 and braze the thing together into a micro car ( see other post for frame model up close). It uses the CH150 that I used ride everyday and 2 CH80s for donors and leaves me with a running, legal CH80 to ride everyday. If you were keeping count that leaves me with an extra CH80 , a CH150 front end and 2 CH80 back ends - not sure what Im going to do with it all yet.
