Can you see the heavy halogen desk lamp that is hanging over the edge 5 feet over where my head is when i am sleeping? I had woken up a few minutes prior to use the bathroom and was laying there awake when it hit. I was aware of the lamp ready to fend it off and was watching it as the gentle waves of motion hit - for a long time. when I saw the videos of Napa during the quake and realized if that happened here (like Loma Prieta) the lamp would have brained me in my sleep and then the rest of stuff would have fallen on me while I was waking up to the pain and the blood.
